Tentative Dates and Location Set for Biometrics Consortium Conference

AFCEA is planning to support the 2008 Biometric Consortium conference.

Tentative location and dates are Tampa Convention Center, Tampa, FL,

23-Sep 25-Sep. When an agreement with NIST is signed, the Biometric

Consortium and AFCEA will formally announce the event's location and dates.

We recently received word that the room block for DISA in Orlando is scheduled to open up January 1st. AFCEA is encouraging everyone to begin calling now as the block may open early.

TechNet Asia-Pacific a BIG Success!

Once again the AFCEA Hawaii event was a great success. It was another complete sell out with nearly 3,000 attendees. We are currently placing the '07 exhibitors on the show floor and will begin contacting new exhibitors in the next month or so.

MILCOM Heads West!

MILCOM 2007 went extremely well last week in Orlando with attendance and exhibits up significantly. The 2008 host will be Raytheon and will be in beautiful San Diego November 17-19.

LandWarNet 2008 Dates Announced

The 2008 AFCEA LandWarNet Conference & Expo is scheduled for August 19-21, 2008 in Ft. Lauderdale. The 2007 exhibitors can now sign up and exhibit space for all others will become available on December 10th!

In a move to officially brand Transformation Warfare as the East Coast version of the popular West event in San Diego, AFCEA and USNI have decided to officially change the name of Transformation Warfare to “East”.

MILCOM 2007 Gears up for Orlando

MILCOM 2007 is scheduled to stage October 29-31 and will be the biggest MILCOM to date! More than 280 exhibitors will be displaying this year which is 50% more than in 2006 and overall attendance is also up by more than 57%!

Transformation Warfare becomes “East”

In a move to officially brand Transformation Warfare as the East Coast version of the popular West event in San Diego, AFCEA and USNI have decided to officially change the name of Transformation Warfare to “East”.

The dates, location, schedule of events, etc. will remain unchanged.

AFCEA and the Naval Institute are committed to continuing to make AFCEA/USNI East the East Coast bookend event of West, and feel this will help build brand awareness of their two successful conferences. In 2007, the event drew 2,669 attendees, fifty percent were military/government technology decision-makers.
